Unfortunately I had to use the Hit-Air Vest. I misread a tight curve in the mountains and went at it a little too hot. Lost control in the dirt shoulder and high sided. The Hit-Air vest did it's job. It deployed and protected my neck and torso. The cuts and deep bruising occurred only on my arms and legs. Under the vest I also had a leather jacket with pads.

Except for a few small tears, the vest looks like it can be used again. I ain't ever riding again without a Hit-Air vest.

I got my MLV Hi Viz after hearing about a good friend who went down on his bike. He described how he landed and how hurt he was as a result. He had been considering getting an airbag jacket but never got around to it. This got me thinking really hard about safety vs. cost of an airbag vest. I liked this MLV Hi Viz because I can wear it over my existing jackets, or even just a t-shirt. I chose this one also because of the very reflective material it's made of. If you spill and are lying down on black top, they will see you. I am looking into some additional CE armor that Velcro's onto my vest.
